Atascosa Exploration LLC is a privately-held Texas limited liability company involved in oil & gas exploration and production. It is one of approximately five thousand active oil & gas well operators bonded and registered with the Texas Railroad Commission. The Commission is the state agency responsible for the regulation of the oil and natural gas industry, and the oldest regulatory agency in Texas (established in 1891). Atascosa Exploration is one of several oil and gas exploration and production companies owned in whole or in part by John D. Mullins. Mr. Mullins is a native of San Antonio, a city of over 1.3 million at the center of the South Texas oil and gas industry. He is a third-generation Texas oilman, having brought in his first well over 45 years ago at age 17.

Through Atascosa Exploration or other of his companies, Mr. Mullins has successfully drilled and completed over one hundred oil and/or gas wells. Directly or through its partners, Atascosa Exploration and/or Mr. Mullins own or control oil reserves in excess of five million barrels. Mr. Mullins and his companies neither solicit nor accept public investment of any kind.
