Dr. Robert W. Dean, President and CEO
Bob joined ViaLogy as President and CEO in October, 2007, from SAIC where he was Corporate Senior Vice President for Market Development. SAIC is the largest employee-owned research and engineering company in the United States. Previously, he held senior executive positions with Boeing, Lockheed Martin and Ball Aerospace Corp. Bob also served in senior executive positions in the U.S. government at the Central Intelligence Agency, the State Department, and at the White House as Special Assistant to the President during Ronald Reagan’s presidency. He is a graduate of Brandeis University, Harvard University, and received his Ph.D. from the University of Denver.
Hugo Fruehauf, MBA, PE; Chief Operating Officer and VP, Engineering.
Hugo Fruehauf is the COO and VP- Engineering for ViaLogy LLC in Pasadena CA, and an adjunct professor at Pepperdine University's Graduate School, teaching Global Economics and International Trade. He has been CEO-CTO for three global-reach companies, marketing telecom, GPS, and aerospace-related products in 35 countries, covering both commercial and government sectors. Earlier in his career, he was a systems designer and manager for several satellite and launch vehicle programs and Chief Engineer for the design and development of the GPS satellite. In the '60s, he headed the static firing R&D test program for the 2nd stage of the Saturn-V launch vehicle that brought America to the moon. He is a registered Professional Engineer (state of CA), an Executive MBA and Electronic Engineering Technology graduate, an international speaker on GPS and precision time and frequency, has numerous patents, and is fluent in German.
Dr. Sandeep Gulati, Co-founder, Chief Technical Officer and VP, Product Development.
Prior to joining ViaLogy Dr. Gulati headed the Ultracomputing Technologies (UCT) Group at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab in Pasadena, CA. During his 12 year tenure at JPL, he led computational advances in spacecraft autonomy, autonomous diagnostics and prognostics of complex systems, sensor fusion, neural networks, signal processing, command decision modeling and intelligence analysis. At JPL he was a Principal Scientist on a number of programs of national relevance such as DOD's Joint Strike Fighter (JSF), NASA's Reusable Launch Vehicle (RLV), oil industry's DEEPLOOK Consortium, predictive intelligence capability for Army’s All-Source Analysis System, and subsurface imaging for cleanup of formerly used contaminated defense sites. He collaborated on strategic programs with Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, McDonnell Douglas, Rockwell, Pratt & Whitney, and NASA Centers (MSFC, GSFC, LeRC, LaRC, ARC, KSFC).
At ViaLogy, he developed a novel signal amplification computational technology, Quantum Resonance Interferometry (“QRI”) to detect and quantitate weak signals and events in high clutter and background noise. ViaLogy is currently deploying QRI for life sciences applications in analysis of microarrays, mass spectrometry, next generation surveillance platforms and missile seekers. Dr. Gulati has over 13 issued patents, over 30 patents pending and over 100 publications in archival journals and conferencing proceedings. He has consulted extensively with the financial services, entertainment, aerospace and networking companies. Dr. Gulati holds an MBA from Pepperdine University, a B. Tech in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, and a PhD in Computer Science from Louisiana State University.
Jeremy Healey, VP Marketing and Sales
Jeremy joined ViaLogy as VP - Marketing and Sales in September, 2008. He is chartered with leading ViaLogy's sales organization and aligning its revenues with the company's vision and expectation for rapid growth. Prior to joining, Jeremy served in this role for multiple small technology firms focused on various types of middleware and Software Defined Radio, most recently PrismTech PLC where he was responsible for bringing that company from start-up status to global sales of over $20M in five years. Jeremy is a graduate of Providence College and is based in Boston, MA.
